Naimuri has welcomed the announcement by the National Police Chiefs' Council about the £115m Police AI Centre.

Eddie Newton, Head of Homeland at Naimuri, said:

"The NPCC’s announcement of the
£115m Police.AI centre is a landmark moment. It marks the shift from innovation in isolation to a unified, national strategy.

At Naimuri, this aligns with three of our core pillars:

Removing the overburden:  The NPCC estimates AI can save 6 million hours, returning 3,000 officers to the frontline. Our name literally means "to not overburden"; we build tech to automate the tasks that keep officers at their desks.

National scalability: We’ve seen brilliant pilots across various forces. A central hub ensures that every force, regardless of size, benefits from world-class, standardised technology.

Trust as a priority: Innovation without transparency is a dead end. We support the new AI Registry and Responsible AI Checklist. Privacy by Design isn't a blocker; it’s the foundation of public confidence.

The roadmap for 2026 is clear. We’re ready to help turn AI from a future concept into a daily frontline reality".
