700 million weekly users, 2-hour autonomy, and a "jagged" truth. 📉

The 2026 International AI Safety Report confirms what we see at Naimuri: AI is evolving faster than our traditional safeguards.

The report is the next iteration of the comprehensive review of the latest scientific research on the capabilities and risks of general-purpose AI systems.

Led by Turing Award winner Yoshua Bengio and authored by over 100 AI experts, the report is backed by over 30 countries and international organisations. It represents the largest global collaboration on AI safety to date.

Here is the Naimuri take on what matters for the UK’s security and tech landscape:

1️⃣ Autonomy is here: AI agents can now complete multi-hour software tasks alone.

2️⃣ Inconsistency is the risk: Models are brilliant but jagged. They pass PhD exams but fail common sense tests.

3️⃣ Defence must evolve: Criminals are already using AI to find software vulnerabilities at scale.

Our view? We can't slow down innovation, but we must speed up AI Assurance.

At Naimuri, we’re helping our customers navigate this jagged landscape with traceable AI and robust data engineering. We are closing that gap by treating AI Safety not as a post-launch check, but as a core engineering discipline.

From uncertainty quantification to traceable architectures, we are building the tools that allow the UK to exploit the benefits of AI.

We make sure the overburden is removed without compromising on security or trust. Find out more about what we do.
