The UK government’s crackdown on deepfake harm, with the expansion of the 'Online Safety Act' is significant, but it creates a massive digital demand challenge.

Eddie Newton, Naimuri's Homeland Sector Lead, said:

"The expansion of the Online Safety Act is a vital step in criminalising synthetic/deepfake harm, but it creates a massive 'digital demand' challenge for Law Enforcement. As AI providers begin proactively removing illegal content, the surge in referrals will land directly on the desks of overstretched investigators.

Naimuri’s focus is providing the technical triage tools to detect synthetic/deepfake media at scale. We ensure that when AI-generated harm becomes a crime, the frontline has the data management power to act quickly without being overwhelmed."
